Aamir Khan - "The Perfectionist" or "The Ace Khan" ???

The perfect Khan, it seems, has a perfect body now.Aamir Khan has sweat hard to get those 8 pack abs in his personal gym costing him a wooping 55lakhs.Ready to pay any price to put up a real show.Is this hard work only for his movie "Ghajini" or is it an answer to the original muscle man of bollywood Sallu bhai or Six Pack abs of King Khan or the owner of asia's sexiest body John abraham.Thats none of my business by what really motivated me to write about Aamir is his Style and his Perfection.

Aamir Khan has been a Trendsetter be it sporting a new look, acting or directing. His hairstyle in Dil Chahta Hai, Tare Zameen Per and now Ghajini has caught the fancy of the trendy youths. Now along with Sallu bhai's poster there is Great Aamir's poster in my Gym.Body builders worship him and draw inspiration from him.He is also very good in marketing. His marketing stratergy of the movie "Ghajini" is something to be taugh in B-Schools. first his Hair style, then his flaunting Body, next was the training video of his 12 months of heavy workout, now the theater staff is also seen in ghajini hair style. One by one he is unfolding all the cards in his sleeves...

I dnt know about others but i am very impressed by you and looking forward to own a flaunting body like you...

Manmohan Singh's Appeal to Indians

Dear Citizens,

The dastardly terror attacks that took place in Mumbai last night and today leading to the loss of many precious lives and injuries to many others have deeply shocked the nation. I strongly condemn these acts of senseless violence against innocent people, including guests from foreign countries. I offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and sympathies to those injured. The Government will take all necessary measures to look after the wellbeing of the affected families, including medical treatment of injured.

The well-planned and well-orchestrated attacks, probably with external linkages, were intended to create a sense of panic, by choosing high profile targets and indiscriminately killing foreigners.

I salute the courage and patriotism of the police officers, including the Chief of the Anti-Terror Squad, Shri Hemant Karkare and men who have laid down their lives in fighting these terrorists. I assure the country that we will attend in an urgent and serious manner to police reform so that the law and order authorities can work unitedly, effectively and in a determined manner to tackle such threats to national integrity.

We are not prepared to countenance a situation in which the safety and security of our citizens can be violated with impunity by terrorists. It is evident that the group which carried out these attacks, based outside the country, had come with single-minded determination to create havoc in the commercial capital of the country.

We will take the strongest possible measures to ensure that there is no repetition of such terrorist acts. We are determined to take whatever measures are necessary to ensure the safety and security of our citizens.

Insruments like the National Security Act will be employed to deal with situations of this kind. Existing laws will be tightened to ensure that there are no loop-holes available to terrorists to escape the clutches of the law. Most importantly, it is essential to immediately set up a Federal Investigation Agency to go into terrorist crimes of this kind and ensure that the guilty are brought to book.

We will take up strongly with our neighbours that the use of their territory for launching attacks on us will not be tolerated, and that there would be a cost if suitable measures are not taken by them. We will take a number of measures to strengthen the hands of our police and intelligence authorities. We will curb the flow of funds to suspect organizations. We will restrict the entry of suspects into the country. We will go after these individuals and organizations and make sure that every perpetrator, organizer and supporter of terror, whatever his affiliation or religion may be, pays a heavy price for these cowardly and horrific acts against our people.

In this hour of tragedy, I appeal to the people to maintain peace and harmony so that the enemies of our country do not succeed in their nefarious designs. All concerned authorities are on alert and will deal sternly with any attempts to disturb public order.

I am confident that the people of India will rise unitedly to face this grave challenge to the nation´s security and integrity.

Jai Hind !

Manmohan Singh,
Prime Minister [India]

The days Seen by TAJ MAHAL Palace- The Icon Of Indian Hotel

The Taj Mahal Palace hotel resort was commissioned by Jamsetji Tata and first opened its doors to guests on December 16, 1903. Tata allegedly decided to build the luxurious hotel after he was refused entry to one of the city's grand hotels of the time, Watson's Hotel, as it was restricted to `whites only'. The original Indian architects were Sitaram Khanderao Vaidya and D. N. Mirza, but the project was completed by an English engineer W. A. Chambers. The cost of construction was 421 million Rupees. During the World War I, the hotel was converted into a 600-bed hospital. The side of the hotel seen from the harbor is actually its rear. The front faces away to the west. There is a widespread misconception that the architects' building plans were confused by the builder so that he built it facing away from the harbor. This is not true, as the hotel was deliberately built facing inland rather than to the harbor. This was probably a deliberate snub to the British king by Jamsedji Tata due to nationalist feelings. Some people believe that the front of the hotel had to face inland because the horse carriages, in which guests came to the hotel, could easily approach the hotel from the city. The carriages were then taken to Wellington Mews. Five decades ago, the old front was closed off, and access is since then through the harbour-side entrance. There used to be a Green's Hotel at the Apollo Bunder, which was purchased by the Taj Mahal Hotel. It was at the Green's Hotel, that a small group of pro-Indian Goans (largely employees of the Indian state and communists) assembled and formed the Goan Liberation Council demanding that Portugal cede Goa to India, in the 1950s. This was done at the instigation of Jawaharlal Nehru, and funded by the Kamani Group of Companies. In 1973, Green's hotel was demolished and the present Tower wing was constructed in its place.

And... November 26, 2008 emerged as the black day in the history of Taj

And after a gun battle of more than 24 hours, at around 11.35 PM on 27th November,
"All hostages at Taj Hotel in Mumbai have been rescued, but there could be some still trapped at Trident hotel and Nariman House where operations were on to flush out terrorists", Maharashtra police chief A N Roy said on Thursday, ruling out any negotiations with the terrorists." The damage has already happened.. Death toll of more than 125 people with more than 400 injured, the never sleeping city of India has for sure seen almost 2 days of sleepless nights. The beauty of Taj is also damaged a lot. Its true it can be bought back to its original state but what about the lives of those innocent people and the brave police people who gave their lives for a cause......? ???

Terrorism Has no religion

Deccan Mujahideen Letter

Translation of Message From 'Deccan Mujahideen'

Hours after terrorists began their attacks in Mumbai Wednesday, the previously unknown group identifying itself as "Mujahideen Hyderabad Deccan" sent an email to few Indian media organizations.

The two-page-long letter, written in Hindi peppered with Urdu, is in the form of a notice to the Indian government and a warning to India's Hindus. Its title: "Not the Warning but the Fact."

The following is a partial translation by The Wall Street Journal's Krishna Pokharel:

  • We inform and warn India's government to stop the continuing injustice against the Muslims. Return all the states seized from the Muslims. We are that "nation" that never forgets its history and repeats its history again and again. The fresh examples of which are Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Somalia and Kashmir.
  • Whatever you had to do you did that and what we had to endure we endured that … This is now our innings and we won't let it go from our hands. We will play our innings with style …
  • We know India government won't take this warning seriously…. So we are determined that this warning be made real … You have already seen its vivid example in Mumbai.
  • Hindus, don't think India's ATS [anti-terror squad] and army are laced with modern weapons and are also courageous.
  • This attack is a reaction to those actions that Hindus have been carrying out since 1947. There would be no actions now, only reactions. … And it will continue till we take revenge for every injustice done to us. … It will continue till we take back all our seized states …
  • Hindus now give up thinking that martyring of Muslims' mosques, weakening Muslims' economic condition through riots, and putting educated youths in prison will weaken the confidence. No, not at any cost. …

Google:An evil company which wants to take over the world??

Google has emerged today as leader in web services and slowly also expanding to offline services. They have been the biggest supporters of free and open source software, sponsoring almost every event that endorses open source, supporting every open source product based company financially as well as technically. Also itself has been conducting a lot of events to bring together developers of the open source community. Most people are now under the impression that Google is the Messiah that has been created to save the world from the "evil" Microsoft. Their premiere argument being that Microsoft does not give enough rights to the user and they're evil and they are hacking into all your data and they're evil and they dont give you code and they're evil, though I appreciate the fact Google has been able to sideline itself from 'directly' making these alligations.
Almost every computer user uses Google's tools for any kind of web service used by him and as an icing on the cake these services are completely free of cost. We love everything that comes to us for free, and why not, we work hard to earn that money. Now Google understands that well, doesn't it? Thank You Google.
Now where my understanding of Google beats me is why doesn't Google release the source code of its own products. To start with, well i'm using the search engine am I not entitled to have the source code for it, if the code for my operating system happens to be my birth right.
Now have we seen an open source version for googletalk with all its features for Unix based systems?Shouldn't they give the code for gmail to its every user.
Web services certainly are different but again they're being used by me, take my private data and run mostly on my PC. Why must I not view what data is being captured from my system or the application I have opened using these services.
Another point I would like to specify on these web services by google, how many of them have been Google's own creations and have made it big except for the search engine.
Orkut, google's socializing site was made by someone else, bought by google.
Blogger, this very site was bought by Google not released by them.
Youtube, again bought by Google.
It certainly is quite honorary to be taken over by google. Every start up dreams of it. Why, because they've done a lot of hard work in creating the start up, and if they're getting a hefty reward for it right at the moment, why reject it.
I would say Google was lucky, it wasn't taken over by any major comapany during its time of creation. They tried but Alta Vista was too snobbish for that. Now Google does not want to see a repetition of 'The Google Story'. They buy every possible company which emerges as a possible competition. It certainly is the Emperor of Internet ruthlessly conquering every small opposition in the most nascent stages.
But the emperor's insatiable thirst for power also has its eyes set on the offline services. Their biggest competition is Microsoft, "Well, they're bigger than us. We can't buy them. Hmm!! so my enemy's enemy is a friend. Hence, it befriended the open source community. All they have to do is pump in some money from time to time and Microsoft is busy parrying off the open source guys. Now they've come up with android(which was not introduced as open source) to enter the phone markets, and another mentionable feat by Google, CHROME. I don't understand what were they thinking, we put together the open source brilliantly built browser in the market, replace it with our label and reintroduce and with a privacy policy that we can use any data that you open with chrome. Wha ha wha!!!
Oh! and another thing I forgot to mention why are none of the open source products by Google(of the very few) that I know of GPL licensed?? Why do they go for something else like Apache Software licenses? Why do Google's products fail to provide the Four Kinds of Freedom?

Now Google I'm sure is just waiting for the right time to release its own OS though not very soon I'm sure. Just as soon as they can get enough from the open source community on Microsoft which could take a while because I think now its time People understood the Evil that is GOOGLE.

I hope the open source community realizes this before its too late.

My Favourive mail of the week (The Ant and The Grasshopper)

The Ant and The Grasshopper

An Old Story:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs dances plays the summer away.
Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

New Indian Version:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.
The Grasshopper thinks the Ant's a fool and laughs dances plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.
NDTV, BBC, CNN show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
The World is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor Grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house.
Medha Patkar goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter .
Mayawati states this as `injustice' done on Minorities.
Amnesty International and Koffi Annan criticize the Indian Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper.
The Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) .
Opposition MPs stage a walkout. Left parties call for 'Bengal Bandh' in West Bengal and Kerala demanding a Judicial Enquiry.
CPM in Kerala immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.
Lalu Prasad allocates one free coach to Grasshoppers on all Indian Railway Trains, aptly named as the 'Grasshopper Rath'.
Finally, the Judicial Committee drafts the ' Prevention of Terrorism Against Grasshoppers Act' [POTAGA], with effect from the beginning of the winter.
Arjun Singh makes 'Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions in Government Services.
The Ant is fined for failing to comply with POTAGA and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes,it's home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by NDTV.
Arundhati Roy calls it ' A Triumph of Justice'.
Lalu calls it 'Socialistic Justice '.
CPM calls it the ' Revolutionary Resurgence of the Downtrodden '
Koffi Annan invites the Grasshopper to address the UN General Assembly.
Many years later...
The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company in Silicon Valley,
100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in India ,
..AND
As a result of losing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the grasshoppers, India is still a developing country...!! ! :) :) :)

Place of the Blast

Bomb hits Delhi market, boy killed

NEW DELHI, Sept 27 (Reuters) - A bomb exploded in a crowded market in India's capital New Delhi on Saturday, killing a boy and wounding 22 others, police said. The government described it as an "act of terror".Witness Raj Singh Daswal said he saw two men on a motorcycle drop a black plastic bag that was picked up by a boy "He ran after the men telling them 'uncle, uncle you dropped something'," Daswal told Reuters. "Immediately after, there was a huge explosion. The boy's head was blown off." The bomb left a crater on the road. Police cordoned off the blast site to keep away a crowd of hundreds of people. Many, including wailing women, tried to break through the cordon. People were seen walking in blood-stained shirts. Locals carried the injured to hospital. Bomb experts picked through debris for clues and sniffer dogs were brought in. "We now know one person is dead," deputy commissioner of police H. G. S. Dhaliwal said, adding the toll could go up as many of the wounded were in critical condition. The street in Mehrauli, where the bombing took place, is a mixed area with small mosques and some ancient stone Muslim buildings mixed in with small shops and homes, and close to the Qutab Minar monument which attracts thousands of tourists. Police evacuated people from all major markets in the city and said ammonium nitrate could have been used in the blast. "We are looking for the motorcyclists," police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said. Hundreds of people have been killed in a wave of bombings in India in recent years, mostly blamed on Muslim militants, with targets ranging from mosques and Hindu temples to trains. Saturday's explosion comes days after a series of bombs in the capital that killed 23 people and wounded more than 100 others. Those attacks had put New Delhi on alert and police were raiding Muslims' quarters and criminal hideouts. They shot dead two Muslims in a raid last week, saying one of them was the mastermind of the New Delhi bombings. The failure to prevent such attacks has become an embarrassment for the Congress party-led coalition government, with elections less than a year away. "The government will have to take stern measures to put an end to this type of activities and acts of terror," Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters. In July, at least 45 people were killed when a series of bombs ripped through Ahmedabad, the main city of the western state of Gujarat. A day earlier, one woman died when eight bombs went off in the IT hub of Bangalore. In May, more than 50 people were killed in coordinated bomb attacks in the western tourist city of Jaipur. Police have blamed the banned Students' Islamic Movement of India for most attacks in recent years, but say that local Muslims appear to have been given training and backing by militant groups in neighbouring Pakistan and Bangladesh. Is Twenty 20 taking over Cricket?

TWENTY20 cricket will become so big it will kill off the 50-over format and eventually take over from Tests as the dominant form of the game.

See the way IPL has kicked off making so much money and playing ruthless Twenty 20 Cricket for over a month.

Hope Great players like Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman and other ageing players are given due respect for the kind of Cricket they play because people have already started criticizing them. They are great Cricketers hope who have won matches for India Single handedly.

Twenty 20 is just new and it is very difficult for these great players to adapt to such a drastic change.
